24 April 2011 - 22nd anniversary of New Kids Day!
Help find a cure for breast cancer!
Dress Code: PINK PINK PINK!
The state of Massachusetts declared April 24 1989 as "New Kids Day"
This year, on the 21st anniversary of New Kids on the Block Day, we would like to make this day extra memorable! On April 24 2010 Blockheads (and friends) will dance on Hangin' Tough simultaneously ALL OVER THE WORLD.Since the reunion of the band in 2008, groups of fans all over the world have done a marvelous job in raising money and awareness for breast cancer. Help Find the Cure, a group of New Kids fans from the Netherlands, is therefore organizing this event to show how proud they are to be united with so many amazing women all over the world. It is very admirable to see how well these groups have been able to come up with the most creative ways to raise money for breast cancer awareness!
Therefore the objective of the 24 April 2010 event is once more to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. On this day we will be globally dancing on Hangin' Tough, a popular New Kids on the Block song. Of all the old and new New Kids on the Block songs, Hangin' Tough is most appropriate for this event, because of the positive message that the song brings. We will be dancing for breast cancer patients and survivors and show them we care and help them stay positive and strong!
With much love and respect,
The Help Find the Cure Team
